Q: How far is the airport of Chania?
A: The distance between the villas and the International Airport of Chania (Ioannis Daskalogiannis – CHQ) is 18 km approximately. Before arrival, our guests receive detailed driving directions from the airport and coordinates towards the villas.
Q: I arrive late at night. Is this a problem?
A: No problem at all. However, you are advised to provide an estimated time of arrival for arrivals later than 22.00 pm. Our staff will be waiting for you and provide assistance with luggage and a quick orientation tour of the premises.
Q: Do you provide any cupboard essentials in the villa?
A: Of course! Especially guests arriving late at night appreciate our welcome hamper, which includes breakfast items (jam, honey, butter, milk, eggs, bread, tea), water, a bottle of wine and Illy espresso coffee capsules. Also, we provide a starter package with washing liquid, dishwasher tablets, detergent and softener.
Q: Is any of the villas suitable for people with reduced mobility?
A: Yes and no. Each villa has a bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the ground floor for easy access to the kitchen and outdoor areas. However, as the plot is amphitheatrical, you have to climb some stairs to enter the villa. Villa Apoi is additionally equipped with an elevator and access to the villa is made by a ramp, however the split level ground floor has three steps between the kitchen and the lounge area.
Q: Can I decline a cleaning service?
A: Our rates include a cleaning service every other day plus linen/towel change twice a week in order to ensure a relaxing and hassle free vacation at our premises. However, if you want to skip or change the service time, you are requested to inform us the day before or hang the “Do not disturb” sign the day before.
Q: I do not feel like cooking everyday. What are my dining options?
A: Each villa has a well equipped kitchen with all necessary equipment to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner and surprise your friends and family with your skills. But, if you want everything on your plate for your relaxing vacation, we have three options to choose:
a. Meals delivered in villa by a local restaurant
b. Private chef
c. Traditional meals prepared by a local cook
Q: Do you provide airport transfers?
A: Yes, we can arrange airport transfer at a cost. Please provide specific requests at least
5 days in advance.
Q: Can you help me with renting a car?
A: Although we do not make reservations, we can help you reserve a car at no extra cost.
Q: Can you arrange excursions for our group?
A: We have a very good cooperation with some local agencies, and we can help you decide on the most
suitable itineraries based on availability, weather conditions, group age etc.
Q: Do you offer breakfast on request?
A: Yes! We are very happy to serve a traditional breakfast at the villa, comprised of locally sourced ingredients and homemade recipes. Guests are given the breakfast menu before arrival and are requested to order their preferences the day before, stating any diet restrictions and/or food allergies.
Q: What are the check in/out times?
A: Check-in time after 14.00 pm and check-out before 11.00 am. Both check-in and check-out times can be adjusted and are subject to availability.
Q: Is Internet use included in the price?
A:Yes, WIFI is included in the price.
Q: Do you provide pool towels?
A: Yes, each guest can lie on a large and fluffy towel for as long as he/she wishes!
Q: Can we buy basic supplies without the need of a car?
A: You can find all basic supplies and more in the small yet efficient mini market in the village square, just
300 m. from the villas. Open on Sundays as well until 14.00 pm.
Q: We are travelling with a baby. What is the equipment provided?
A: We love having young families at our premises, therefore we have equipped each villa with all necessary baby equipment: baby cot, steriliser and bottles, a feeding set, baby bath, bottle warmer and baby monitor.
Some of the items are provided on request, so make sure to ask in advance.
